Ingredients
- 1tablespoon de honey
- 50ml de soy sauce

- 1cup de cornstarch
- 1kg de chicken
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, lime juice (or sake), and grated ginger.
Dica: Soy sauce is already salty, but add a pinch of salt if you want to adjust the flavor. If you don't have honey, use sugar.
Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Let the marinade sit on the chicken for at least 30 minutes.
Dica: This sauce can also be used on salads.
Season 1 kg of chicken (already cleaned/cut) and coat it completely in one cup of cornstarch.
Dica: The coating technique used here is the classic method using starch.
Heat the oil in a deep pot, ensuring there is enough oil to completely submerge the chicken (deep frying).
Dica: The ideal oil temperature should be between 300°F and 320°F (150°C and 160°C) to cook the chicken through without burning the exterior.
Fry the coated chicken pieces in small batches until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Dica: When removing the chicken from the fryer, place it on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
Serve the fried chicken immediately, either with the prepared sauce on the side or as an appetizer.
