Instructions
Pass the cooked potatoes through a sieve to prepare the base for the mash.
Over low heat, incorporate the butter, cheeses, and heavy cream into the mashed potatoes.
Adjust the seasoning of the mash by adding a small amount of salt.
Prepare the onion topping: season the diced onion with Berna salad seasoning, sugar, paprika, flour, and oil.
Roast the seasoned onion in the air fryer at 356°F (180°C) for 15 minutes.
Heat the Berna sausages using the hot water bath method (as directed on the package).
Dica: The sausage packaging is suitable for a hot water bath.
Warm the hot dog buns on a griddle lightly greased with butter.
Assemble the hot dog by placing the mashed potatoes in the bun, followed by the heated sausage, and finish with Berna ketchup and mustard.
Add the onion prepared in the air fryer and, if desired, finish with minced garlic.
