Ingredients

- 200g de semi-sweet chocolate
- 200g de heavy cream
Instructions
In a bowl, add the four eggs and beat for one minute.
Add two cups of sugar (granulated, or demerara) and beat for another minute.
Dica: If using butter or margarine instead of oil, make sure they are at room temperature.
Incorporate one and a half cups of oil and beat again for one minute.
Add two cups of chocolate drink mix (or one cup of 50% cocoa chocolate).
Add one and a half level tablespoons of baking powder and half a level tablespoon of baking soda.
Add three and a half cups of all-purpose flour and two cups of room temperature water.
Lightly mix initially and beat the batter for another minute until it is smooth and spectacular.
Dica: The batter will look very nice.
Pour the batter into a 13.7 inch x 9.4 inch x 2.1 inch baking pan, greased with butter and dusted with all-purpose flour.
Bake in a preheated oven: 338°F (170°C) for an electric oven (top and bottom heating) or 350°F (180°C) for a conventional oven.
Dica: Baking time is 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry and clean.
For the soaking syrup, mix half a small can of sweetened condensed milk, two cups of milk, and half a cup of chocolate drink mix in a saucepan.
Heat the syrup mixture on the stove, let it boil for about one minute, and turn off the heat.
Dica: The syrup should be poured over the cake right after boiling.
While the cake cools slightly, poke the entire surface with a toothpick and pour the hot syrup over it.
Dica: Poking holes before drizzling with syrup helps with absorption.
For the ganache, melt 200g of semi-sweet chocolate with 200g of heavy cream, using the microwave in 30-second intervals or a double boiler.
Dica: Melting in the microwave in 30-second bursts is one option.
Spread the melted ganache over the cake that has already been drizzled with the syrup.
Dica: The cake can be eaten even without waiting for it to cool completely due to its softness.
