A special rice for Christmas, easy to make, and pairs well with any meat.

Ingredients
- Bacon
- Smoked sausage (Calabrese style)
- Onion
- Carrot
- Green beans
- Corn
- Palm heart (or substitute like hearts of palm pieces)
- Red bell pepper
- Olives
- Herb (e.g., parsley or other preferred herb)
- Raisins
- Cooked Rice
- Scallions (green onions)
- Ribeye Steak (or preferred cut of beef)
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions

dourarBrown the bacon and smoked sausage in a large pot or Dutch oven.

refogarSauté the onion.

Add the carrot, green beans, corn, and palm heart.

Add the red bell pepper, olives, and herb.

Add the raisins.

Cover with the cooked rice and sprinkle minced scallions over the top.

temperarSeason the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
