Recipe for homemade nuggets made with chicken, seasoned with garlic, onion, paprika, and lime, breaded and either fried or baked in the Air Fryer.

Ingredients
- 1unit de Onion
- 2cloves de Garlic
- 1teaspoon de Hot Paprika
- pinch de Pepper opcional
- 1unit de Lime juice
- 1tablespoon de Salt
- 2tablespoons de Oats (Oat bran)
- 1kg de Chicken
- 1unit de Egg
- a little de Water
- Flaked Cornmeal (Flocão)
- a little de Hot Paprika (for egg wash) opcional
- Cooking Oil opcional
Instructions
Pulse the onion and two cloves of garlic in a small food processor until a coarse mixture forms.
Dica: If your processor is small, do this in batches.
Add the hot paprika and a little pepper to the garlic and onion mixture.
Dica: The hot paprika helps add color (a rosy hue) and flavor.
Add the juice of one lime and two tablespoons of oat bran to the mixture.
Add salt (approximately one tablespoon for 1kg of chicken) and mix well with your hands, as the food processor might be too small.
Dica: Mixing by hand ensures better incorporation of the seasonings into the meat.
Shape the seasoned chicken mixture into your desired nugget shapes, using your hands.
Dica: You can use cookie cutters for shapes, like hearts, if you prefer.
Prepare the breading mixture: lightly beat one egg and add a little water and a pinch of hot paprika (optional).
Dica: Do not add salt to the egg, as the mixture is already seasoned.
Dip each nugget into the liquid egg mixture and then coat them thoroughly in the flaked cornmeal (Flocão) to create the crispy crust.
Dica: Double breading (egg + cornmeal) ensures crispiness.
Fry some nuggets in hot oil or bake the rest in the Air Fryer until golden brown and very crispy.
Dica: The version baked in the Air Fryer also comes out very dry and crispy.
