Ingredients

  • 250g de Rice
  • 200g de Black-eyed Peas
  • 300g de Dried, Salted Beef (Carne de Sol)
  • 150g de Bacon
  • 1 de Red Onion
  • 150g de Grilling Cheese (Queijo Coalho)
  • 4 de Tomato
  • 1 de Green Bell Pepper
  • 2cloves de Garlic
  • 2cups de Beef Broth
  • 2tablespoons de Clarified Butter (Manteiga de Garrafa)
  • 1/2 de Bico de Moça Chili (or similar medium-hot pepper)
  • 1/2teaspoon de Ground Cumin
  • Salt
  • Bay Leaf
  • Fresh Cilantro

Instructions

Fry the bacon in a pot until lightly browned.

Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until lightly golden.

Dica: Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Add the rice and sauté for about 3 minutes.
