In a stand mixer, combine the very cold heavy cream and the confectioners' sugar.
Beat the mixture until it reaches your desired creamy whipped cream consistency.

Begin assembling the dessert by spreading a generous layer of whipped cream in a serving dish.
Add a layer of meringue cookies, slightly crushing them over the whipped cream.
Add a layer of chopped strawberries over the crushed meringue cookies.
Continue layering with more whipped cream.
Decorate the sides using strawberry halves, pressing them against the rim of the serving dish.
Fill the center of the top layer with the remaining chopped strawberries.
Finish the dessert with more meringue cookies on top and a few whole or sliced fresh strawberries for garnish.
