Ingredients
- 1kg de Top Round Steak
- 2teaspoons de Meat tenderizer

- 3tablespoons de Worcestershire sauce
- 2tablespoons de Mustard
- 1/2cup de Ketchup
- 600g de Heavy cream

Instructions
Clean and cut 1 kg of top round steak into steaks, then slice into thin strips.
Dica: Top round steak is an economical and leaner option.
Mix the sliced meat with two teaspoons of meat tenderizer, ensuring all pieces are coated.
Dica: Mix well with your hands to incorporate the tenderizer evenly.
Let the meat rest, marinating in the tenderizer for 15 minutes.
Dica: Resting ensures the meat becomes more tender and juicy.
In a skillet, melt one tablespoon of butter (or margarine) over medium heat.
Add one very finely minced (or grated, if preferred) onion and sauté until wilted.
Dica: Grating the onion is an option for those who don't like chunks in the final dish.
Increase the heat and add the drained meat to the skillet, sautéing well until browned and releasing as little liquid as possible.
Dica: Keeping the heat high helps to sear the meat quickly, preventing it from releasing too much water.
Season the seared meat with a little black pepper and paprika. Add three tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and two tablespoons of mustard, mixing well.
Dica: Worcestershire sauce provides acidity to the dish. It is not recommended to substitute it with soy sauce.
Incorporate one-half cup of ketchup into the meat and let it simmer over low heat for another 2 minutes to deepen the flavors.
Taste and adjust the salt, adding a little more if necessary since the tenderizer already contains salt.
Dica: Add salt sparingly, as other seasonings already contribute flavor.
Reduce the heat and stir in 600g of heavy cream (three small containers), mixing gently until a creamy sauce is achieved.
Dica: If desired, you can add mushrooms at this stage, although the recipe as presented is economical and omits them.
Let the stroganoff heat through for a few more minutes on low heat until the sauce slightly thickens, then turn off the heat.
Dica: The sauce will become creamier as it cools slightly.
