Ingredients
- Egg
- Granulated Sugar
- Dry Milk Powder
- Milk
- All-Purpose Flour
- Baking Powder
- Oil (for frying)
- Sugar mixed with cinnamon (for dusting)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix the egg, granulated sugar, and dry milk powder.
Add the milk, alternating incorporation with the all-purpose flour, until you achieve a smooth batter—neither too runny nor too stiff.
Finally, add the baking powder and mix gently.
Heat the oil in a skillet to a medium temperature, approximately 265°F to 285°F (130°C to 140°C).
Dica: Avoid overheating the oil, as the fritters may burn on the outside and remain raw inside.
Fry the fritters, using a spoon or scoop, over low heat (gentle simmer) to ensure they cook all the way through.
Remove the fried fritters and drain the excess oil.
Finish by tossing the still-warm fritters in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Dica: Serving immediately with coffee is highly recommended.
