Ingredients
- 3cup de All-purpose flour
- 1,5cup de Milk
- 1unit de Egg
- 1pinch de Salt
- 3spoon de Sugar
- 1teaspoon level de Baking powder
- 1tablespoon de Margarine
- for frying de Oil
- to taste de Ground cinnamon
- to taste de Sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
Dica: Mix all dry ingredients well first.
Add the egg and margarine to the dry mixture.
Gradually add the milk, mixing until you achieve a smooth, uniform batter.
Dica: Add about one and a half cups of milk, adjusting the amount if necessary to achieve the ideal consistency.
Heat enough oil in a skillet over medium heat for deep-frying.
Dica: Do not let the oil get too hot, which can cause the fritters to brown on the outside while remaining raw inside. Use low/medium heat (not too hot).
Fry spoonfuls of the batter in the hot oil, turning them constantly to ensure even cooking.
Dica: If you're having trouble, fry the fritters in batches of two. Using the correct amount of baking powder helps prevent them from absorbing too much oil.
Remove the fried fritters using a slotted spoon, allowing excess oil to drain well.
Prepare a mixture of sugar and ground cinnamon and toss the warm fritters in this coating.
Dica: This is the finishing touch for Grandma Lourdes' fritters.
