Recipe Video
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour
- 2tablespoons de Creamy margarine
- Sugar
- Yeast (baking powder/active dry)
- Salt
- Warm water
- Pork rinds (chicharrones)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, sugar, and yeast.
Add the creamy margarine to the dry mixture and incorporate the ingredients with a spoon.
Gradually add the warm water, mixing until the dough starts to come together, and add the salt last.
Dica: You might need to use all the water or slightly less; add according to the dough's needs.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured countertop and knead for approximately 5 minutes until a smooth dough is achieved.
Shape the dough into a ball, lightly dust it with flour, cover, and let it rise until doubled in volume.
While the dough rises, break the pork rinds into smaller pieces; make sure they are very dry and excess fat is removed.
Dica: Very dry pork rinds ensure the bread stays crispy.
Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and generously distribute the broken pork rinds over the surface.
Carefully roll up the dough, pressing lightly to maintain the shape, and place it in a greased and floured baking pan.
Cover the rolled bread and allow it to rise again, doubling in size, before placing it in the oven.
Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) until golden brown and fully cooked.
After removing from the oven, let the bread rest for about 20 minutes before serving.
Dica: Serve warm, ideally accompanied by coffee.
