Ingredients
- 450g de Cooked corn (canned or frozen, thawed)
- 1cup de Milk
- 1teaspoon de Salt
- 2tablespoons de Butter
- 1cup de All-purpose flourSubstitui por: farinha de arroz
- to taste de Mozzarella cheese
- Egg
- Breadcrumbs
Instructions
In a blender, add the 450g of cooked corn, milk, salt, and butter.
Dica: Using already cooked corn saves time and energy.
Add the all-purpose flour to the blended mixture.
Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until the dough completely pulls away from the bottom of the pan.
Dica: The final consistency should be pulling away from the bottom of the pan.
Remove the dough from the heat and let it cool completely before handling.
With the cold dough, pinch off small portions, fill with mozzarella cheese, and shape into a croquette form.
Dip the shaped croquettes sequentially into the beaten egg and then into the breadcrumbs.
Deep-fry the croquettes in hot oil until golden brown.
Dica: Frying in hot oil ensures they become crispy.
