Ingredients
- 1drizzle de Olive Oil
- 1link de Cured Sausage (Linguiça Calabresa)
- 1packet de Tomato Sauce (preferably homemade)
- 1L de Water
- 1teaspoon de Paprika
- 1teaspoon de Garlic Powder
- 1/21/2 teaspoon de Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/2box de Penne Pasta
- Salt opcional
- 100g de Mozzarella Cheese opcionalSubstitui por: queijo da sua preferência
- 1small carton de Heavy Cream opcional
- Scallions (Green Onions) opcional
Instructions
In a pressure cooker, heat a drizzle of olive oil and lightly sauté the sliced cured sausage.
Dica: Sautéing the sausage is optional.
Add the tomato sauce, 1 liter of water, paprika, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes, mixing well.
Dica: Do not add salt at this stage; adjust at the end if necessary, as the sausage and sauce already contain sodium.
Add half a box of penne pasta to the pot.
As soon as the mixture comes to a boil, close the pressure cooker lid and, once it reaches full pressure, cook for exactly 1 minute, turning off the heat immediately after that time.
Dica: The total cooking time after turning off the heat will be 10 minutes before opening the cooker.
Wait 10 minutes after turning off the heat for the pressure to completely release before opening the lid.
Dica: Waiting until the pressure releases fully ensures safe opening.
Check the texture of the pasta. Optionally, add a small carton of heavy cream and 100g of mozzarella (or cheese of your choice) and stir until melted and incorporated.
Dica: The pasta should be separate, and the creaminess depends on adding the heavy cream and cheese.
Finish by serving with plenty of chopped scallions, if desired.
Dica: Fresh scallions enhance the flavor.
