A recipe for a savory pot pie crust that melts in your mouth, using only 3 base ingredients (plus water/salt). An alternative version using eggs is also suggested.

Ingredients
- 300g de ButterSubstitui por: margarina
- 4,5cups de All-purpose flour
- 1/2teaspoon de Salt
- 1/2cup de Water opcional
- 3units de Whole eggs opcional
Instructions
Combine the all-purpose flour and salt in a bowl, mixing the dry ingredients well.
Add the butter to the dry mixture and work the dough until the fat is incorporated. Note: if using margarine, use 1/4 cup of water instead of 1/2 cup.
Dica: For the crust that melts in your mouth (shortcrust pastry), lightly moisten the dough with half a cup of water if using butter.
Form a ball with the dough, place it in a bag, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
Dica: The dough will be ready to roll out and use after the resting time.
Alternatively, for the second version of the dough, mix 300g of butter, 4.5 cups of flour, the salt, and three eggs, omitting the addition of water and the resting period.
Dica: The egg version does not require chilling and can be rolled out and used immediately.
