A classic from Minas Gerais made from tapioca starch, cheese, and other ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 300ml de Milk
  • 150g de Water
  • 75g de Oil
  • 16g de Salt
  • 250g de Sour tapioca starch
  • 250g de Sweet tapioca starch
  • 125g de Cooked and mashed potato
  • 2unit de Eggs
  • 300g de Grated Ouro-Mineiro style cheese
  • 300g de Aged cheese

Instructions

Combine the milk, water, oil, and salt in a bowl

Add the sour tapioca starch and sweet tapioca starch to the bowl and mix

Add the cooked and mashed potato to the bowl and mix

Add the eggs to the bowl and mix until you have a smooth dough

Add the grated cheese to the bowl and mix

Divide the dough into portions and shape each one into a small ball

Place the balls on an oil-greased baking sheet and bake in the oven at 320°F (160°C) for 35 minutes
