- 5unit de Reserve Ribeye Steak
Instructions
Prepare five ribeye steaks of similar thickness to perform the comparative test.
Sear the first steak (Steak 1) in a skillet, allowing 2 minutes on each side to achieve rare doneness.
Dica: Listen for the sizzle when placing the meat down.
Sear the second steak (Steak 2) for 4 minutes on each side, aiming for a level between rare and medium-rare.
Sear the third steak (Steak 3) for 6 minutes on each side to achieve the consistency that balances texture, flavor, and juiciness.
Sear the fourth steak (Steak 4) for 8 minutes on each side, resulting in a more cooked steak, but still retaining some juiciness.
Sear the fifth and final steak (Steak 5) for 10 minutes on each side, yielding a steak that is completely well-done.
Dica: This result is considered overcooked, and the meat should be reserved for preparations like ragu.
After cooking, slice the steaks and compare the five different doneness levels obtained (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 minutes per side) to identify personal preference.
Dica: Allowing the meat to rest briefly before cutting can help retain the juices.
