Ingredients
- Cassava (Yuca)
- Butter
- Water
- Salt
- Olive Oil
Instructions
Boil the cassava in a pressure cooker along with butter, salt, and water.
Dica: Count 12 minutes after the cooker reaches pressure, then turn off the heat.
Allow the cassava to cool slightly so it is easier to remove the fibrous center core.
Cut the cassava into smaller pieces (the smaller they are, the crispier they get). Let it cool down again to ensure even cutting and prevent it from falling apart.
Dica: Cutting after cooling prevents the cassava from crumbling.
Preheat the Air Fryer to 350ºF (180ºC).
Toss the cassava pieces with olive oil and a little salt.
Arrange the seasoned cassava in the Air Fryer basket and cook for approximately 15 minutes, or until the pieces are nicely golden brown and crispy.
Dica: Monitor the time, as the ideal point is when it is golden brown and very crispy.
To facilitate future preparation, the cooked cassava can be cooled spread out, packaged in portions, and frozen.
Dica: Freezing the cooked cassava spread out allows for easy portion separation.
