Ingredients
- 200g de Linguine pastaSubstitui por: macarrão espaguete
- 1can de Diced peeled/canned tomatoes
- 1clove de Garlic
- 2tablespoons de Olive oil
- 3sprigs de Basil sprigs
- 1/4cup de Parmesan cheese
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Italian arugula (rocket) opcional
Instructions
Bring a pot with 2.5 liters of water to a boil over high heat.
In a skillet, combine the olive oil, garlic, and basil sprigs. Heat over low heat for about 3 minutes to infuse the oil.
Add the canned tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and let it cook for about 13 minutes, until a flavorful and rich sauce has formed.
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until 1 minute less than the package directions indicate.
Drain the pasta and reserve at least 1 cup of the pasta cooking water.
Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce and mix, adding a little reserved cooking water if necessary, until the pasta finishes cooking and the sauce becomes creamy.
Turn off the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
Serve the quick tomato sauce pasta, garnished with Italian arugula and extra grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
