Ingredients
- 3units de Eggs
- 1/2cup de Oil
- 1tablespoon de Margarine
- 1cup de Water
- 1cup de Sugar
- 1cup de Chocolate Drink Mix (like Nesquik)
- 1pinch de Salt
- 2cups de All-purpose flourSubstitui por: farinha de arroz
- 1tablespoon de Baking powder
- 1can de Sweetened condensed milk
- 4tablespoons de Chocolate Drink Mix (like Nesquik)
- small amount de Heavy cream opcional
Instructions
In the blender, add the eggs, oil, and the margarine that has been melted slightly in the water, and blend well.
Add the sugar, the chocolate drink mix (for the batter), and the pinch of salt to the blender and blend again.
Pour the liquid mixture into a separate bowl.
Sift two cups of all-purpose flour over the liquid mixture and gently incorporate it using a whisk.
Dica: Mixing with a whisk is the preferred method for this step.
Finish the batter by adding one tablespoon of baking powder (equivalent to the lid of the baking powder container) and mix gently.
Dica: The lid of the baking powder container often equals one tablespoon.
Grease a pan with oil and all-purpose flour and pour in the runny batter.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F [180°C] for approximately 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
While the cake bakes, prepare the frosting: place one can of sweetened condensed milk and four tablespoons of chocolate drink mix on the stove.
Stir the frosting mixture over low heat until it reaches the desired brigadeiro consistency.
Dica: To make the frosting lighter and less sweet, add a small amount of heavy cream.
As soon as the cake is done and while it is still hot, pour the brigadeiro frosting over the top.
Dica: The cake should be frosted while still warm.
