Ingredients
- 50g de Clarified butter (or Ghee)
- 500g de Italian sausage (casing removed)
- 100g de Onion
- 100g de Bell peppers
- 4cloves de Garlic
- Crushed red pepper flakes
- Cumin
- 100g de Raw pumpkin (or squash)
- 50ml de Water
- 200g de Cream cheese
- 3cup de All-purpose flour
- 1cup de Mayonnaise
- 1teaspoon de Salt
- 80ml de Milk
Instructions
Brown the Italian sausage for 5 minutes.
Sauté the onion, bell peppers, garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, and cumin.
Add the raw pumpkin (or squash) and water, and cook until the pumpkin is tender.
Mix in the cream cheese and finish preparing the filling.
Combine the all-purpose flour, mayonnaise, salt, and milk to make the dough.
Roll out 3/4 of the dough and place it in the pie dish.
Add the filling and spread it evenly.
Roll out the remaining dough and cut out shapes using a pumpkin stencil.
Cover the pie and brush the top with egg yolk.
Bake the pie in the oven.
