Ingredients
- drizzle de Olive oil
- 1/2unit de Onion
- 2cloves de Garlic
- 1/2unit de Carrot
- pinch de Salt
- pinch de Chili pepper
- 1/2head de Cabbage
- pinch de Black pepper
- 1cup de Barbecue sauce
- 2tablespoons de Ketchup
- 1tablespoon de Mustard
Instructions
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pot and sauté half an onion cut into half-moons and two cloves of minced garlic.
Add half a grated carrot to the sauté, seasoning with a pinch of salt and chili pepper.
Continue sautéing until the onion wilts and the vegetables soften slightly.
Add half a head of cabbage cut into thin strips to the pot. Season with salt and black pepper.
Dica: Don't worry about the initial volume, as the cabbage will significantly reduce while cooking.
Cook the cabbage, stirring continuously, until it becomes very tender and visibly reduced in volume (about 5 to 10 minutes).
Incorporate one cup of barbecue sauce, two tablespoons of ketchup, and one tablespoon of mustard.
Dica: The ketchup and mustard help add acidity to the dish.
Mix all ingredients well until the cabbage is completely coated in the sauce, and serve.
Dica: This side dish pairs well with meats, especially pork, or can be used in sandwiches.
