Ingredients
- 100grams de Salted Butter
- 1/2cup de Cream CheeseSubstitui por: requeijão light
- 1/2small carton de Heavy Cream
- 50grams de Grated Cheese
- 1unit de Garlic (whole bulb)
- Oregano
- Salt opcional
- Parsley
- Mozzarella (optional) opcional
- French Bread RollSubstitui por: pão de cachorro quente
Instructions
In a bowl, add the salted butter (approximately 100g or half a stick).
Incorporate half a cup of cream cheese and half a small carton of heavy cream into the mixture, aiming for creaminess.
Dica: The heavy cream helps bring creaminess to the spread.
Add an entire package (50g) of grated cheese to the bowl.
Process the secret of the recipe: mince a whole bulb of garlic and fry it over low heat, using some of the butter, until the garlic is nicely golden, losing its sharpness but maintaining its flavor.
Dica: Frying over low heat is essential to brown the garlic without burning it, making it milder.
Add the fried garlic, along with the frying butter, to the base mixture in the bowl.
Dica: Be sure to scrape the entire jar/container of fried garlic so you don't lose the flavorful butter.
Season with a portion of oregano and mix all ingredients well until a homogeneous mixture is achieved.
Finish the mixture by incorporating chopped parsley for color and flavor, and add salt to taste (optional). Mix again.
Dica: Salt is optional; add it if you feel it's necessary to enhance the overall flavor.
Place the finished garlic spread in the refrigerator for 10 to 20 minutes to firm up slightly.
Dica: The resting time in the refrigerator helps the spread become more consistent.
Cut the French bread roll in half (separating the two halves) and apply a generous layer of the garlic spread on both sides of the bread. (Optional: Add mozzarella).
Dica: Using French bread provides better flavor. Opening the bread instead of slicing it into rounds allows for applying more spread.
Place the bread with the spread facing down on a grill rack, positioned over hot coals (barbecue).
Dica: Watch the heat carefully, as the bread can burn quickly.
Grill until the side with the spread starts to brown and the bottom side of the bread is toasted, turning the bread if necessary for even browning.
Dica: The process over the coals is fast; turn the bread after it starts to brown.
