Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil
- Potatoes
- Tenderloin Steak (Filet Mignon)
- Garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
- Orange Juice
- Olive Oil
Instructions
Heat the vegetable oil in a pot or skillet to fry the potatoes, and simultaneously heat a separate skillet for the steak.
Use a meat mallet to tenderize the pieces of tenderloin steak.
In a mortar and pestle or small bowl, mash the garlic with salt and pepper until a smooth paste is formed.
Add the orange juice to the garlic, salt, and pepper paste, mixing well.
Rub the seasoning mixture all over the surface of the tenderloin steaks.
Place the potatoes (previously prepared for frying) into the hot oil. Let them fry for about 6 to 7 minutes.
Dica: The frying time for the potatoes may vary depending on the cut and desired crispiness.
Brush the seasoned steaks with olive oil and place them in the already preheated skillet.
As soon as the steak is in the hot skillet, reduce the heat to medium.
Flip the steaks as soon as you notice they start to 'sweat' (release liquid on the surface).
Dica: Flipping the steak after the surface sweats helps retain internal juiciness.
Arrange the steaks and french fries on the plate. Drain the excess oil well from the fries and season them with salt before serving.
