Ingredients
- 1serving de Garlic
- enough to cover de Honey
- Chili Pepper opcionalSubstitui por: pimenta dedo de moça, pimenta biquinho
Instructions
Place the serving of peeled garlic into a sterilized jar.
Completely cover the garlic with your preferred honey.
Add the desired chili pepper (e.g., bird's eye or biquinho).
Seal the container tightly with the lid.
Store the sealed jar in a dry place, like a pantry, without initial refrigeration.
Dica: You can store it in a plastic bag for extra security.
During the first four to six weeks, slightly open the jar every day to release the accumulated gas (carbon dioxide), and close it again.
Dica: It is not necessary to remove the lid completely, just let the air out to prevent overflow.
After the curing period (about one month), the garlic will be soft and have a reddish tint. At this point, transfer the jar to the refrigerator for later preservation.
Dica: It can be consumed to relieve cough or flu symptoms (dessert-sized portion for adults, tea or coffee serving size for children over 2 years old).
