Ingredients
- Sweet Palermo Bell Pepper
- 200ml de Vinegar
- 300ml de Water
- 2units de Whole Allspice Berries
- 1unit de Bay Leaf
- 3spoons de Sugar
- 1teaspoon de Salt
- 1clove de Garlic
- 100ml de Olive Oil
Instructions
Cut the bell pepper into thin strips.
Dica: Using Sweet Palermo peppers, which are sweet and have thin skin, is ideal for a delicate result.
In a saucepan, combine the vinegar, water, allspice berries, bay leaf, sugar, and salt.
Add the garlic clove, cut into slivers, to the mixture in the saucepan.
Bring the mixture to a boil over heat.
Arrange the pepper strips neatly inside a sterilized jar.
Dica: Arranging them nicely in the jar results in a beautiful presentation.
Pour the boiling liquid (the brine) over the peppers inside the jar.
Top off the jar by adding 100 ml of olive oil, covering the entire contents.
Close the jar tightly and store it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 48 hours before consuming.
Dica: This preserve can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
