Ingredients
- Gohan (freshly cooked Japanese rice)
- Salt
- 1sheet de Nori (seaweed) opcional
Instructions
Lightly wet your hands with water and shake off the excess.
Sprinkle salt onto one hand to season the rice.
Shape your left hand into the desired form for the onigiri and place the fresh rice on top.
In your right hand, create a 'claw' shape and use it to gently bring the rice together and mold it without pressing too firmly.
Dica: The goal is to bind the rice, not compact it, to ensure it melts in your mouth.
Finish shaping the rice ball (the onigiri).
Optionally, wrap the onigiri in the Nori sheet before serving.
