Slice the provolone cheese into rounds, keeping a uniform thickness between them.
Dica: Avoid refrigerating the cheese before slicing, as it tends to dry out and break.
Arrange the cheese slices on the microwave-safe plate, ensuring there is space between them, as they will spread during cooking.
Dica: No need to grease the plate.
Microwave for approximately 3 minutes, but monitor every 30 seconds, especially with a test slice, to adjust the time according to your appliance's power.
Dica: Doing short tests prevents wasting cheese.
Remove the cheese when it is lightly orange. At this point, it will still be soft.
Dica: The cheese will only become stiff and crispy after it has cooled completely (about one minute).
Transfer the freshly microwaved slices to a paper towel to finish cooling and become 100% crisp.
Dica: If the slices stick together while still hot, use a small knife to separate them before they fully dry.
Wipe up the excess oil released on the microwave plate after each batch before placing more cheese down.
