A hit from the 80s and 90s, this oven-baked layered sandwich is very simple and easy to make, perfect for pleasing the whole family.

Ingredients
- Crustless sandwich bread (e.g., Pullman loaf)
- Tomato sauce
- Cream cheese or ricotta cream
- Ham
- Cheese (general)
- slices de Tomato
- Oregano
- Salt
- Mozzarella
- Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Spread a layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
Cover the sauce with slices of crustless sandwich bread.
Spread cream cheese or ricotta cream over the layer of bread.
Dica: Use your preferred filling, but ham, cheese, and tomato are the classics.
Add slices of tomato, season with a little salt and oregano over the filling.
Create a second layer of bread, making sure the side that already had cream cheese faces down, in contact with the filling.
Drizzle more tomato sauce over the top layer of bread.
Finish by sprinkling mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and oregano on top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 355ºF (180°C) until the topping is browned and bubbly.
Dica: This layered sandwich can be adapted with fillings such as shredded chicken, tuna, or sardines.
