Ingredients
- Flour
- Sugar
- Salt
- Egg
- Oil
- Milk
- Water
- Yeast
- Raisins
- Candied fruit
- 1unit de Orange zest
- Egg yolk
Instructions
In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.
Add the egg and oil to the dry ingredients.
Add the milk and water (previously mixed) and stir gently to prevent the flour from scattering when turning on the mixer.
Dica: Mixing lightly before beating helps prevent flour dust from flying up.
Add the yeast to the mixture.
Beat the dough until it reaches a viscous consistency (a bit 'sticky').
Transfer the dough to a container lightly floured to prevent sticking, cover, and let it rise.
While the dough rises, prepare the fruit: mix the raisins, candied fruit, and grated (or chopped) orange zest.
Dica: It is recommended to use high-quality ingredients for the best result.
After rising, open the dough into portions, forming small disks. Distribute a portion of the fruit mixture over each disk.
Arrange the filled dough disks in a bundt pan, using a glass as an initial support for the first piece, and filling the space with the rest.
Brush the surface of the bread with the beaten egg yolk.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes, or until well browned/golden.
