Ingredients
- 6units de Eggs
- 180g de Sugar
- 180g de All-purpose flour
- 1pinch de Salt
- 1teaspoon de Baking powder
- Brigadeiro topping
- 1unit de Doll (without body/legs)
Instructions
Beat the egg whites separately until stiff peaks form.
Add the egg yolks to the already whipped egg whites and continue beating.
Add the sugar and the pinch of salt to the mixture, beating well.
Sift and gradually fold the all-purpose flour into the batter, mixing gently with a whisk or spatula using upward movements to avoid deflating the volume (gentle mix).
Dica: The batter should be treated like a traditional sponge cake.
Add the baking powder to the batter and mix gently until incorporated.
Dica: Baking powder is not usually used in pure sponge cake, but it will be added in this version.
Transfer the batter to a greased pan and bake in a preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes.
Dica: Baking time may vary; check for doneness by inserting a toothpick.
After baking and allowing it to cool slightly, insert the lower part of the doll (the body) into the center of the cake.
Cover the cake with the brigadeiro topping, letting the topping drip down to form the doll's skirt/dress.
Dica: The brigadeiro should have a consistency that allows it to drip and cover the desired area.
Serve the doll dress cake.
Dica: The cake can be filled before covering it with the brigadeiro topping.
