Ingredients
- 16count de Ladyfingers
- 14slices de Store-bought Cake
- 1can de Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2count de Egg Yolks
- 5tablespoons de Cornstarch
- 1count de Lemon Zest
- 1cup de Milk
- 1box de Whipped Topping Mix
- 1teaspoon de Vanilla Extract
- Orange Juice
- 1tablespoon de Unflavored Gelatin Powder
- 5tablespoons de Water
- Mixed Berries
Instructions
In a saucepan, whisk together the milk, cornstarch, sweetened condensed milk, lemon zest, and egg yolks
Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil
Remove from heat and continue to stir for 3 more minutes, let the cream cool slightly (become lukewarm)
Bloom the unflavored gelatin powder with water and microwave for a few seconds until completely dissolved
Whisk the dissolved gelatin into the lukewarm cream mixture
Beat the whipped topping mix according to package directions, adding the vanilla extract
Line the bottom and sides of a springform pan with ladyfingers
Place a layer of the store-bought cake slices on the bottom and drizzle with orange juice
Alternate layers of the cream mixture, whipped topping, mixed berries, and ladyfingers/cake, finishing with a layer of mixed berries
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set
