Instructions
Blend the milk, the four eggs, the melted butter (or margarine), the sugar, the cornmeal, the grated Parmesan cheese (50g), and the all-purpose flour in a blender until the mixture is smooth.
Dica: The batter will be very liquid, which is the correct consistency.
With the blender running or after a brief pause, add the baking powder and blend quickly for a few seconds just to incorporate it into the batter.
Dica: Do not overmix after adding the baking powder.
Pour the liquid batter into a greased baking pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350ºF (180°C) for a period that may range from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Dica: The cake is ready when the surface is golden brown and the creamy layer is firm to the touch.
After removing from the oven, let the cake cool completely before attempting to slice or unmold.
Dica: If you try to cut it while hot, the cake may break and fall apart due to the creamy layer.
