A versatile, delicious farofa that is a favorite side dish, especially with pork.

Ingredients
- Butter
- Banana
- Bacon
- Onion
- Garlic
- Bode pepper (or substitute like serrano)
- Cassava flour (or toasted cassava flour)
- Biquinho pepper
- Scallions (green onions)
- Salt
Instructions
In a skillet over high heat, melt the butter and sauté the banana for about 2 minutes until lightly golden.
Remove the banana from the heat and set aside.
In the same skillet, fry the bacon until it is crispy and golden.
Add the onion and garlic to the bacon and sauté for 2 minutes, along with the bode pepper.
Add the cassava flour and let it toast slightly in the pan.
Incorporate the biquinho pepper, the reserved banana, and the scallions.
Season with salt to taste and mix well to finish the farofa.
