Ingredients
- 1unit de Egg
- 1/4cup de Milk
- 1generous pinch de Salt
- 1/2teaspoon de Oregano
- 1generous pinch de Black Pepper
- 2tablespoons de Oil or Olive Oil
- 1/2cup de All-Purpose Flour
- 1tablespoon de Green Seasoning (Parsley/Chives)
- 1teaspoon de Baking Powder
- 150g de Mozzarella Cheese
- 50g de Ham
- Oregano (for filling) opcional
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk one egg for about one minute.
Add the milk (equivalent to 50 ml), salt, oregano, black pepper, oil (or olive oil), all-purpose flour, green seasoning, and baking powder to the egg mixture.
Mix all the batter ingredients for approximately thirty seconds until combined.
Dica: The batter turns out great after mixing.
Lightly grease a skillet with a little oil and pour in half the batter, spreading it to form a thin layer.
Distribute your desired filling over the first layer. Suggestion: use 150g of mozzarella (divided in half) and 50g of ham, finishing with a sprinkle of oregano, if desired.
Dica: You can use other fillings like seasoned shredded chicken.
Cover the filling with the remaining batter, spreading it carefully.
Place the skillet over medium heat and let it cook covered until the bottom is set and the top forms a skin.
Flip the sandwich when the bottom side is golden brown and the top is slightly firm to brown the other side, which should take about 3 minutes.
Dica: The process on the second side is usually quicker.
Remove from heat, slice, and serve while hot.
