Ingredients
- 400g de Heavy cream (canned/box)
- 1can de Sweetened condensed milk
- Maria-style cookies or similar (e.g., vanilla wafers)
- Milk (for dipping cookies)
- 160g de Semi-sweet chocolate
- 1can de Heavy cream (for topping)
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream (400g) and the sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is homogeneous.
Dica: Whisk just enough until it is smooth.
Begin assembling the dessert in a baking dish (9in x 6.7in x 2.2in), spreading a thin layer of the prepared cream on the bottom.
Dip the cookies into the milk and layer them over the first layer of cream.
Continue the process, alternating layers of dipped cookies and generous layers of the cream, until all ingredients are used.
Finish by spreading the remaining cream over the top layer.
Refrigerate the dessert for 12 hours.
Dica: Total chilling time.
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate (160g) and mix it with one can of heavy cream.
Dica: Melt the chocolate using your preferred method (microwave or double boiler).
Pour the melted ganache (or chocolate topping) over the chilled trifle, completely covering the surface.
Return the dessert to the refrigerator for at least two more hours before serving.
