Ingredients
- Steak (e.g., sirloin or flank)
- Sausage
- Chicken Thigh (deboned)
- Lard
- 2units de Onion
- 5cloves de Garlic
- 1unit de Yellow Bell Pepper
- 1unit de Aromatic Pepper (e.g., Habanero substitute)
- 1unit de Jalapeño or Serrano Pepper (minced)
- 2tablespoons de Cilantro and Green Onion Mix (Garnish)
- 1unit de Carrot
- 2kilograms de Rice
- 200milliliters de Soy Sauce
- 50milliliters de Worcestershire Sauce
- 2tablespoons de Tomato Paste
- 200milliliters de Beef Broth Concentrate (or bouillon dissolved in water)
- 4000milliliters de Water
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Garlic Herb Cheese Spread (e.g., Boursin)
- Clarified Butter or Ghee (Manteiga de Garrafa substitute)
Instructions
Dice up some leftover steak, sausage, and chicken thigh.
Sauté the diced steak, sausage, and chicken in a large pot or Dutch oven with lard.
Add chopped onions and cook until they start to brown and stick to the bottom.
Add garlic, yellow bell pepper, aromatic pepper, jalapeño/serrano, and fresh cilantro/green onion mix, stirring well.
Add the rice and toast it lightly for a minute.
Flavor the water by mixing in the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, and beef broth concentrate.
Pour the flavored water mixture into the rice, add more water as needed, and adjust salt to taste.
Stir in cherry tomatoes, scoops of garlic herb cheese spread, and more fresh herbs. Let it simmer until the rice is tender.
